Recently I was looking for the best selling HD TV and was really surprised when my research brought me to LN40C630 Samsung LCD HD TV. First I was surprised Samsung (big fan like me) and secondly that it was a 40-inch set and not something bigger. So, here I am HD TV expert, and I'm surprised something like this!
I also thought it would be an LED or Plasma, but it was a mid-range LCD display is in the lead. So, I had to find out more about this all that HD TVacross America are buying!

As I was in Vancouver at the time, I went down to the local Future Shop to see what I could discover. Arrive early on a Monday morning hoping that the sales staff would be nothing better to do that and give me a demo, the strategy proved to be good, as I quickly found my new best friend Graham sellers TV. To be honest, I told him I was not going to buy and would he mind, so a Starbucks Vanilla Latte after Graham was in full swing!
The first thingGraham told me is that Samsung have just gone to market with the C series LCD. And he was very quick to point out that the price has dropped compared to previous models. release. My guess is that economies of scale have kicked in as a LCD TV production is concerned ... that coupled with the apparent increase in the number of questions and then the shipping and it is a classic situation of price reductions. So, I think we just reached the point where people begin to feel that it is a real goodbuy to invest in HD TV.
Is fair enough, but I still think that any HD TV needs to "wow" the potential buyer to make them part with their money earner of hard, especially in the current economic conditions.
The most important thing I wanted to know was screen motion blur, a well-known flaw in September LCD Ealy. Indeed, it is because my first set was a plasma HD (being a sports fanatic and all). Of course, the old Plasma (now on my second set) suffers from the curse of Plasma -screenburn. Tough choice in the "old" days!
Anyway, back to the story, Graham said that because Samsung made the 630 series with 120 Hz refresh the screen and as the full 1080p HD capacity that problem was solved. The 80,000:1 contrast screen also helps to keep the picture clean and sharp, even when the action reaches a breakneck speed.

Thus, we set up a true 1080p source and the image is clear. And, I am pleased to report completely free of motion blur. We looked at a "day after" replay of a Canucks game in fullHD 1080. Ice hockey is probably the fastest available sports and the picture was amazing. The action was crisp and clear, with bright, vivid colors and deep blacks and dark.
Then we attacked the Blu Ray to see how the TV performed with HD DVD. Once again, the Samsung came up trumps LN40C630. Shiny, bright, solid colors with deep blacks showed stunning contrasts and a picture that looked as if it were real life, under the sun.
Graham (we were nowTerms name) said this was due to 1080p, and that the contrast ratio. He also told me that LCDs were just beginning to 10,000:1. Most HDTVs are about 70,000 to 100,000 ratio apparently, and this is what gives the last set of these very detailed images and clear, no matter how fast and frantic action might have.
It 's true best "definition" is available with an LED, but I believe (after seeing) that this set is now so popular because it offers a realsuperb viewing experience at a very reasonable price. It 'more or less proof "near future" with Graham showdown, it would be "good for the last 5-7 years." I think it's reasonable.
The package comes with Samsung UN40C630 jack reasonable (4 HDMI, 2 USB, PC input), it is best available, of course, but this is more than enough for most different from the actual needs geek. Low power consumption is another side benefit. It also uses technology Samsungs latest photos (color wideenhancer pro). This is designed to give better color brightness across the spectrum resulting in more brilliant colors. I can vouch for that! (You can say I borrowed some of the sales there breath!)
The only slightly negative on LN40C630 TV Samsung 40 inch LED is that the sound is not very good in all honesty. With only 2 x 10 watt speakers I think it is not surprising. And as the brochure says, "provides multi-channel audio", well not really. But I think most people buying a HD TVprobably buy at least a basic cinema surround system, so it's not really a problem in my opinion.
The bottom line? This is a great HD TV set in terms of performance, features and especially price! If you have not yet upgraded, this is the middle ground, a safe option for your first foray into HD TV. Solid Technology that delivers excellent image quality for any kind of vision. After seeing a demo courtesy of Graham now I can see clearly why the Samsung LCD TV has LN40C630become America's most popular TV HD!
